Operations Supervisor

Operations at THE ICONIC

THE ICONIC Operations team is the heart of our business, busy connecting our products to our customers in the most efficient way. They are spread across our large Fulfilment Centre, HQ and Production Hub and our expertise covers Inventory, Inbound, Outbound and Delivery Experience.

A bit about the role …

As the Supervisor, you will be managing a Warehouse Team. This team is critical in supporting our Buyers, Vendor Management & FC Operations to get all of our latest products unpacked, re-packed and put away, ready for picking. They also process returns from our customers – a key part of our service offering which requires high attention to detail as we carefully quality test all returned items. 

This role will be an evening shift starting from 4pm until Midnight

What you will do

  • Drive the safety culture in my department, ensuring my people are trained in their role, and are performing the role effectively and to provide a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring my Team Leaders run engaging and safety-driven toolboxes. 
  • Lead with the company’s best interests in mind, reporting any incidents or near misses. 
  • A confident and capable leader, taking full responsibility for leading and mentoring my team. 
  • Competent in managing any performance related conversations and can handle difficult situations which may require confidentiality and thoroughness in a timely manner. 
  • A planner who can interpret our dashboards and systems to effectively manage staffing levels and ensure our productivity targets are met. 
  • Successfully maintain the relationship with our agency providers to ensure we have trained agency labour available.  
  • Maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passionate about my people and their development, working with key stakeholders to ensure they are provided with opportunities to learn and grow. 
  • Responsible for ensuring my team hit our deadlines and SLA metrics and my team leaders report accurately on KPI and SLA metrics. If we are not hitting our targets I am responsible for managing the communications with relevant stakeholders.
  • A goal setter and can clearly understand the company’s vision and communicate this with my team.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a similar role, working in a fast-paced Warehouse or Facility Centre
  • Strong leadership experience from working in warehousing environments.
  • A confident multi-tasker and enjoy working in a fast paced warehouse environment
  • Ability to have difficult conversations and have ample experience managing conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and visual communication skills. 
  • Experience leading large and diverse teams. 
  • Extremely reliable and able to be flexible with my time as per business needs.
  • Actively deliver and accept feedback.
  • Have a safety first mentality, putting the health and wellbeing of myself and my team members first.
  • Flexible and adaptable depending on what my team and the business needs.
