What you will do
This role will assist in implementing new cybersecurity technologies and practices used by the Cybersecurity Operational teams using industry best practices and manages cyber risk to protect the company, customers and employees.
As the Cyber Security Architect you will ensure all operational activities are handled properly and according to best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
You will be working to:
- Manages cybersecurity technology needs, stakeholder relationships, and capability maturity.
- Evaluates and prioritises strategic opportunities to enable technology organisation to deliver on business priorities.
- Provides technical leadership to manage planning, refinement, execution and review of critical initiatives.
- Ownership of the THE ICONIC security policies and initiatives to mitigate information security risks including dissemination of those security policies and practices
- Coordinate regular risk assessments of IT systems either inhouse or outsourced
- Provide expertise on security architecture, identity, authentication and security controls
- Identify and implement automation of manual processes to shorten processes and cycles
What we are looking for
- +5 years’ experience in technical design and architecture roles
- Knowledge of, or experience working with AWS Security is a must
- +2 years’ experience with compliance testing against ISO27001 or NIST 800-53
- +2 years’ experience in IT Audit, operations, or risk consulting
- +2 years’ experience in risk-based visibility and reporting
- +2 years’ experience in audit and reporting tooling for risk reporting and remediation
Ways to stand out from the crowd
- Experience working with Information Security, GRC, ERM, Technology, Business, and Legal/Privacy functions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide technical thought leadership on security risk calls with other technology teams, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into plain English for consumption by non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with agile and lean software development
