The Strategic Implementation Partner quarterbacks an efficient partnership between Tekion implementation & product teams, and dealer partners. This person will leverage their deep experience working in dealerships and implementing automotive Saas applications. They’ll communicate internally and externally to identify dealer technology and integration requirements. With strong document through explicit discussion, observation, and dig deep to learn the dealer’s operational intricacies, this person will ensure a smooth implementation process regardless of dealership entity size or complexity.

 Role and Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand and embody the voice of our dealer partners by doing qualitative research and communicating quantitative product / implementation requirements to Tekion teams.
  • Quickly build rapport with dealership executive stakeholders and individual contributors, along with the Tekion product and engineering leaders.
  • Embed yourself into the strategic dealership sales cycle so that the requirements are documented into an Implementation Process Guide that all internal and external stakeholders agree to.
  • Anticipate and confirm existing / potential pain points explicitly and through observation. Document the desired outcome and validate the solution internally through user acceptance testing and externally with users when deployed to production.
  • Track committed deliverables against deadlines in order to maintain launch timelines.
  • Drive product-led implementation process improvements by partnering with implementation, conversion, product and engineering leaders to enable the field teams to be self-serving and efficient.
  • Learn from each implementation to continuously improve processes and help colleagues learn and grow in stride.
  • Champion the domain - Track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to our product and help define the product improvement strategy to constantly stay ahead of the curve.


  • 8+ years of DMS experience in the automotive industry
  • Proven experience and deep understanding of implementing automotive SaaS solutions in large and small automotive dealership groups
  • A passion for challenging the status quo by questioning and improving existing systems, including a playful intelligence. You can engage constructively in debate and discussion with your colleagues with the ability to gather various teams to implement smoothly a range of single rooftop dealerships to large dealer groups.
  • You are data-driven, logical thinker who likes to measure things and make decisions based on data.
  • You are empathetic; deeply understanding of how dealerships and people think. You can accurately predict how changes will make them feel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interacting with all levels of stakeholders
  • Established ability to articulate technical jargon into consumable levels of understanding for adult learners.
  • Proven ability to take customer requests or insights and translate them into technical deliverables for internal implementation and product teams
  • Travel (50%-90%)
