Job Description 

We are looking for a SPEI engineer with experience in delivery and operation of IT infrastructure for small (<US$1M / <50VMs) and large scale (>US$10M/ >1000VMs) servers Infrastructure in private clouds (VMware &/OpenStack) and in Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) delivering automation at the operational level and also for the monitoring of infrastructure who has participated in the project HLD/ LLD, hardware, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS installation, application commissioning, network integration, interoperability tests, acceptance tests procedures. (ATPs).

Experience in Operation & Maintenance during the commercial stage in large IT infrastructure for production environments using Linux and working also with the infrastructure network, storage and virtualization with a DevOps culture and SRE approach.

Responsible for services SLO and system availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.

Desired Skills and experience

  • Hands-on experience working in any UNIX/Linux environment
  • Experience reading and programming scripting languages such as Bash/Shell or Python to automate tasks
  • Experience working with and building production-ready highly-secure applications and services to internal customers
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git (Github, Gitlab)
  • Experience working with monitoring systems (like: New Relic, Prometheus, Telegraf, Grafana, CheckMK, Splunk, Alert Manager).
  • Basic Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code methodologies and tools for configuration management (such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Knowledge of automated installation and implementation of end-user settings for Ubuntu and MacOS devices
  • Experience deploying and configuring applications and tools in AWS-Cloud and VMWare
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working with global teams and supporting customers remotely
  • Experience working with High-Availability and High-Scalability systems in a production environment
  • Solid understanding of basic networking concepts such as the OSI Model, TCP/IP Model, VLANs, STP, ARP, ACL, SNMP, NAT, OSPF, BGP, TCP/UDP, static and dynamic routing.
  • Security knowledge (like stateful firewalls, IPsec VPN, SSL, VPN, Security Rules)
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network equipment
  • Experience with CCNA Routing and Switching or Enterprise
  • Being able to communicate efficiently in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Kanban Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with Atlassian tools like Confluence, Jira, OpsGenie
  • Knowledge in Routing and Switching.
  • Follow-up on incidents and schedule availability.
Nice to have
  • Windows environments experience.
  • Experience deploying and managing Web Servers such as Apache or Nginx.
  • Experience working with and building production-ready REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Apple MDM tools (like Mosyle, JAMF)
  • Knowledge of Docker (Containers, clusters, orchestrators)
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL Databases
  • Experience at CISCO, Fortinet and Juniper Technologies
  • Knowledge of high-level scripting languages (e.g. Python, Go, Clojure, Bash)
  • Experience in Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet

As a new team member you will support the Infrastructure department and help the company achieve our objectives. The engineer must have the flexibility to adapt fast and change the focus on different objectives as needed. We want to develop a multi purpose engineer with the knowledge necessary to meet the stakeholders various changing objectives.
