About the role

The Risk team's vision is to make Risk a source of competitive advantage for Nubank. We use targeted friction to focus on the most relevant risks while allowing Nubank to maintain its agility to grow fast. We leverage data and technology to achieve our goals smartly and efficiently. 

We are searching for a Risk Senior Analyst to lead automation projects across the Risk function, increasing our BU's efficiency and operational excellence. The position involves working closely with multiple risk teams, understanding existing pain points and bottlenecks, measuring efforts and implementing smart efficient solutions, and prioritizing effectiveness over consensus and perfection.

A successful candidate must have solid coding skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.



You'll be responsible for

  • Map, evaluate, develop, and deploy automation opportunities all across the Risk Management BU, working closely with multiple squads and managing stakeholders in the process;
  • Propose and reinforce code quality standards in the squad, sharing knowledge and contributing to the robustness and scalability of the solutions we build;
  • Propose and implement improvements in existing tools developed by the squad, aiming to build a reliable and reusable toolkit for the long run;
  • Conduct strategic projects that will directly impact the area's structuring and growth;
  • Be a key person to deliver important automation improvements while being able to provide relevant insights from a business perspective (eager to learn and to develop this mixed tech-business profile);
  • Question and challenge the daily status quo to improve how the processes are being made and helping to increase efficiency.



We are looking for a person who has

  • In-depth knowledge of at least one general-purpose programming language (Javascript is a plus);
  • Good experience with front-end development (React is a plus);
  • Intermediary experience with cloud services (preferably AWS);
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines is desirable;
  • Experience with data manipulation (e.g. SQL, Pandas, PySpark, etc) is desirable;
  • Intermediary English (advanced would be plus);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; 
  • Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage stakeholders, be cooperative and embrace diversity.

Our Nu Way of Working 

Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of ​​expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
