About the Berlin team

Nubank’s Berlin office hosts the data infrastructure platform team. We’ve built a self-service data processing platform from scratch that empowers everyone at our company to build, process, and query datasets that help push forward their work.   

About the role:

In this position you will collaborate with global teams on topics related to finance, human resources and facilities.

Finance:

  • Manage relationship with 3rd party accounting service to maintain financial records and reporting as well as maintain oversight and accountability of all account balances on all financial statements.
  • Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage bank account balances between German bank accounts.
  • Manage documentation needed for local governmental requirements.
  • Work with 3rd party tax service providers to ensure proper filing of required reports.
  • Work with FP&A-Brazil on all budgeting processes as needed and requested.
  • Provide financial information to Geo Lead as needed.
  • Prepare intercompany invoices as needed.
  • Prepare closing reports and documentation and assist Controllership-Brazil as needed for financial period closings.
  • Assist Controllership-Brazil with audit requests as needed.
  • Manage expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Assist with other financial and accounting related items as needed.

People & Culture:

  • Work closely with International Payroll-Brazil team as well as 3rd party payroll provider on monthly payroll transactions.
  • Manage documentation necessary for local requirements and communicated with all areas of People & Culture-Brazil as needed.
  • Administer HRBamboo and absence documentation for German entity as needed.
  • Assist local employees with questions related to payroll and benefits as needed and as appropriate.
  • Manage on-boarding process including German entity training, benefit communication and enrollment; manage benefit changes.
  • Manage employee changes - personal and professional, ensure all platforms are updated.
  • Manage off-boarding process as appropriate and as needed. 
  • Assist with travel arrangements and inquiries as needed.
  • Assist with other special people related projects as needed.

Facilities:

  • Work with Real Estate & Workplace Solutions Brazil team as appropriate on projects related to the German office.
  •  Act as liaison between REWS-Brazil and property lessor.
  • Communicate all necessary local regulations and changes to regulations as needed, act on company compliance as needed.
  • Act as Safety Officer.
  • Manage supplies for office.
  • Work with IT-Brazil as needed to ensure needs.
  •  Assist DataInfra team with trainings and events as needed·      
  • Assist with other facilities projects as needed.

 

Job Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in one of the job's main focus areas, preferably in finance or human resources. 
  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in G-Suite applications. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
.
  • Good interpersonal communications skills.
  • Excellent English skills and a minimum of intermediate German are required (Portuguese is a plus).
