MetaLab is looking for a Group Account Director to join the Service Delivery team. Service Delivery is made up of Project Delivery and Client Partnerships. Together, we are accountable for driving all aspects of the end-to-end client experience. We care deeply about shared goals, relationship health, financials, ways of working, delivery of work, and growing our most loved accounts.

As a Group Account Director you are responsible for the success and growth of a suite of key client accounts for MetaLab. You’ll network throughout organizations to understand how they work, what opportunities there are for MetaLab throughout, and work with the cross functional leadership team to unlock growth potential. 

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to deeply understand MetaLab's services, capabilities, and approach to product design and development. You will lead a cross-disciplinary account leadership team to hire and resource projects, achieve shared goals, manage profit and loss, and work to grow our most loved accounts. You're highly relationship based and are heavily involved in the work in order to build and nurture trusting relationships with our clients. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Make sense of our client's business, space, products, and team dynamics
  • Work with internal teams to prepare and onboard new clients into MetaLab
  • Advocate for our client's goals, the definition of success, and desired outcomes
  • Proactively identify and help teams mitigate and/or manage project risks
  • Become an authority with a point of view that is distinctly MetaLab, co-creating that with the rest of the leadership team on your accounts
  • Track, identify, and remain highly involved in net new opportunities
  • Partner with Business Developement to help identify opportunities in different areas of the business where your relationships with clients may not exist
  • Negotiate, draft and execute statements of work and/or change order type contracts
  • Manage and grow members of the Client Partnerships team 
  • Travel to client sites on an as-needed basis

The must-have shortlist:

    • 10+ years of experience in a client services capacity in a digital product design or development agency
    • Direct experience in digital product across design, development, and/or management, and deeply understand the approaches required to succeed
    • Proven experience running and growing key accounts, focused largely on public enterprise companies 
    • Experience running key accounts within an agency which consist of multiple tracks of work 
    • Ability to achieve buy-in from top-level client stakeholders, skillfully navigate feedback from large stakeholder groups, and steer complex scenarios and situations
    • Experience managing and mentoring team members
    • You’re a strategic thinker and planner, with the drive to be a trusted partner and advisor to internal teams and clients
    • You have exceptional collaboration and communication skills
    • Based on the East Coast of North America, with ability to travel
