Maven's Pricing team is looking for exceptional C++ software developers with the engineering, analytical and quant skills to help drive our continuing success to the next level. You will collaborate with the best traders and developers to help us optimise our pricing infrastructure, improve our trading tools, and extend our trading strategies.

Our team is made up of versatile programmers who are happy to work in a variety of languages, passionate about high quality software, particularly clean code, API design and testability and are motivated to learn everything about options trading and market making. We work together with quantitative researchers to implement their trading strategies and systems. We take ownership of these systems to ensure that they are operational, robust and efficient.

Maven's code base is in C++ 20 and we have a modern stack throughout, making extensive use of template and meta programming, Python, FPGA and Julia.

Our approach to trading is scientific and technology driven. Our teams of developers are responsible for our in-house applications, ranging from the world's lowest latency execution systems, through web-based user interfaces, to tools to interrogate multi-terabyte data sets.

Essential skills and experience: 

  • Excellent Modern C++ (14+) and ideally some familiarity with other languages such as C#, Python and Julia. 
  • Fluency in programming fundamentals and mathematical techniques
  • Experience with automated testing (NUnit, Selenium, mocking frameworks)
  • Enthusiasm to rapidly learn new technologies and skills
  • Efficient and diligent with a strong attention to detail and quality

Desirable but not essential skills and experience: 

  • Experience working at a market maker or proprietary trading firm
  • Knowledge of derivative pricing, particularly options trading
  • Familiarity with functional programming (e.g. Haskell, Agda, Idris etc)
