The Role
The Worldwide Finance Manager is an important member of the Global Finance Team. They support the Global Financial Controller, Global CFO and markets globally with their daily tasks, oversee global inputs and support the FP&A function, for monthly, quarterly and budget submissions. More specifically, this role will be overseeing the Group consolidation accounting, SOX compliance and Risk management across the group and will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts as well as statutory and tax reporting for Corporate HQunits. Additionally, they are responsible for the working capital analysis as well as overseeing balance sheet governance across the business. They will provide a variety of support services to the Global Finance and C-Suite to ensure accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness for the business.
What you’ll do
Reporting
• Providing accurate monthly and quarterly results to agreed group timescales and in line with group accounting policy and support with all Group reporting requests
• Providing support to local Finance teams on accounting guidelines and systems as and when needed, and ensuring that key dates are communicated with stakeholders and work is managed to achieve deadlines
• Preparation of monthly management accounts for Global Corporate entities, across all recharges and cost aspects
• Assisting with the analysis of Global Financial results for board and management presentations including commentary, variance analysis, KPIs, trend analysis and understanding each country's financial performance, risks and financial management
• Balance Sheet governance, integrity and assurance and ownership of working capital analysis and reporting across the group
• Managing the audit and compliance processes (SOX), overseeing the quarterly Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting, plus responsibility for ensuring the timely preparation and review of various monthly / quarterly internal control reconciliations submitted by internal divisions
• Ownership of the year-end statutory financial reporting process as well as responsibility of tax accounting for Global Corporate entities
Forecasting / Budgeting
• Assisting with the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes, including liaison with relevant stakeholders and upload of budget/forecasts for Global Corporate units into BFC (Group reporting tool)
• Costs recovery and reconciliation
• Taking ownership of the monthly rolling forecast, updating confirmed and pipeline personnel costs and recharges
What you’ll need
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 2 years PQE
• Clear understanding of accounting concepts and processes and demonstrable experience of preparing statutory accounts
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to pre-empt, identify and respond to problems arising
• Self-motivated, well-organised and adaptable individual with ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
• Willingness to engage with and support the business in general
• Strong communication skills in engaging both financial and non-financial stakeholders in the business
• Line management experience as responsible for the development and management of the WW Finance Analyst
• Strong excel skills and financial systems skills beneficial (Maconomy, BFC Cartesis, Costar)
