What you’ll do 

  • Design innovative physical products: Conceptualize, develop, and execute designs for a diverse range of products, from consumer goods to industrial products. This includes considering form, function, materials, manufacturing processes, and user experience.
  • Collaborate on integrated projects: Contribute your product design expertise to broader brand-building initiatives, working alongside graphic, packaging, and environmental designers.
  • Lead and manage projects: Oversee projects from concept to launch, ensuring design excellence, feasibility, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Mentor junior designers: Share your knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative and supportive design team.
  • Contribute to new business: Participate in pitches and client presentations, showcasing your design thinking and passion for product innovation.

What you’ll need 

  • Proven experience: A substantial portfolio demonstrating successful product design projects, highlighting your skills in concept development, 3D modeling, and design for manufacture.
  • Technical mastery: Expert proficiency in Rhino 3D, Keyshot, and other relevant 3D software. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Manufacturing know-how: A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost considerat Experience with prototyping and working with manufacturers is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationale to clients and internal teams.
  • Project management skills: Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
  • Passion for product design: A genuine enthusiasm for creating innovative and impactful physical products.
