Key Areas of Impact Include:
- Strategic Leadership & Management: Oversee all aspects of the Life Division, including New Business, Underwriting (UW), and Operations, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals.
- P&L Accountability: Manage the division’s profit and loss in coordination with the executive team to achieve targeted financial outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Board of Directors, CEO, corporate staff, and external stakeholders, representing the Life Division’s interests and ensuring seamless communication.
- Strategy Development: Work closely with executive leadership to shape and implement company strategies that support annual profit and growth targets for the Life Division.
- Operational Management: Drive day-to-day management of the Life Division, focusing on efficient business processes and fostering improvements across all Life functions.
- Execution of Corporate Initiatives: Ensure effective execution of strategic and tactical initiatives, integrating corporate goals into division operations for cohesive performance.
- Decision Making: Exercise strategic, operational, and administrative decision-making in response to evolving market conditions and internal dynamics.
- Performance Reporting: Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports to track the Life Division’s progress against goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in a senior management role within the life insurance industry in mid-cap/large-cap size companies (or private equivalent).
- Industry designations preferred.
- Proven track record in managing P&L responsibilities and meeting profit and growth targets.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive operational improvements and align teams with strategic goals.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working alongside executive leadership and Board members.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large, cross-functional teams and leading organizational change.
