JOB PURPOSE

The IT Support Lead and Global-Local Liaison is a crucial role responsible for bridging the gap between global and local IT practices within DEPT®. This individual plays a pivotal role in identifying opportunities for software and process consolidation, leading a team of local IT engineers, and ensuring the seamless operation of IT functions in both global and local contexts. The role involves not only providing structural guidance to the team but also active involvement in project execution and the continuous pursuit of IT improvements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Global-Local IT Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the global IT team and local IT teams.
  • Facilitate communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing between global and local IT practices.
  • Ensure alignment with the organization's overall IT strategy and objectives.

 

Software and Process Consolidation

  • Analyze existing software applications and IT processes to identify opportunities for consolidation and standardization.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop strategies for optimizing software usage and streamlining IT processes.
  • Terminate and avoid development of shadow IT where possible.

 

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor an international team of local IT engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment that encourages innovation and productivity.

Project Management

  • Take ownership of and execute IT projects to improve and enhance the local IT practices.
  • Coordinate project activities, allocate resources, and ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget.

 

Performance and Efficiency Improvement

  • Continuously assess the performance and efficiency of IT operations at the local level.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to ensure that IT services meet or exceed operational standards.

 

Local Support

  • Design top-tier IT support to local operations, addressing technical issues, troubleshooting, and resolving IT-related problems promptly.
  • Ensure end-users receive the highest level of support and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Managing partnerships with local IT vendors in the light of global best practices and ISO27001:2022 standards.

 

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain thorough documentation of IT processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Generate regular reports on the status of IT initiatives, project progress, and performance metrics.




WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in IT engineering and management roles, with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IT software, hardware, and infrastructure, along with project management skills.
  • Experience with SaaS software like Google Workspace, Slack, and Atlassian are a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication in English.
  • Proven ability to analyze and optimize IT processes and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Global IT experience or familiarity with multi-site operations is a plus.
