This role is part of our Design & Technology business team. JOB PURPOSE

As a QA Engineer at DEPT®, your primary goal is to maintain and enhance the quality of our software products. You'll be actively involved in testing processes, pinpointing and addressing issues to ensure that our deliverables meet DEPT standards. Using a combination of testing tools and hands-on testing, your contribution is crucial in fine-tuning our development workflows. Striking the right balance between manual and automated testing, you aim to optimize efficiency. Overall, your role is instrumental in improving software quality and enhancing the overall user experience.

*For this position, fluency in Dutch is required. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle multiple tasks and projects at once;
  • Lead and mentor junior QA team members, provide guidance and support for skills and knowledge improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and to promote a quality mindset throughout the development process.
  • Execute test cases manually or using automated testing tools to identify defects in the software. This involves performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure the software meets the specified requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for efficiency gains, suggesting improvements to testing processes, and staying informed about the latest testing methodologies and tools.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in working as a QA at a digital agency environment;
  • Have experience with manual/automation testing on multiple projects;
  • Understand code and know how to work with it (C#/PHP/JavaScript);
  • Have experience in collaboration tools such as JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket;
  • Can collaborate within mixed scrum teams with clients and know how to give the right advice on testing matters;
  • Have knowledge on one or more of the following methods: design checking, functional checking, exploratory testing, regression testing and security/load testing (pre);
  • Have good communication skills and enjoy working with people;
  • Can advise our project managers about testing strategy (pre).
  • Fluency in Dutch.
