Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Usage/Billing team. This role calls for a seasoned professional with a background in backend billing systems, customer facing dashboards and internal tool development. Experience with data analysis and comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure and data pipelines is a big plus.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of usage visualization, provisioning processes, and customer interaction tools, working closely with other Product Managers to align efforts with broader strategic goals.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Backend billing/usage systems: Lead the strategy, development, and maintenance of backend billing systems for accurate usage counting and infrastructure. Ensure seamless integration, scalability, and data accuracy.

  • Internal Tool Development: Build and enhance internal tools for efficient feature and usage provisioning. Gather input from stakeholders, prioritize features, and oversee integration into existing workflows.

  • Customer-Facing Dashboards: Design and implement customer-facing dashboards that offer insights into usage patterns, billing details, and account activity. Ensure alignment with user experience standards and visual appeal.

  • Usage Alerts: Assist in developing a comprehensive usage alerts system to keep customers informed about critical account activities, usage thresholds, and billing updates. Define alert parameters, frequency, and communication channels.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Support, under the guidance of the Group Product Manager. Gather input, prioritize features, and facilitate communication to ensure alignment with overarching strategies.

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Collaborate with the Group Product Manager to define and communicate a clear product strategy and roadmap for the Usage/Billing domain. Ensure alignment with business goals and market trends.

  • Metrics and Analysis: Define relevant KPIs to measure the success and effectiveness of the Usage/Billing product area. Analyze usage data, customer feedback, and market trends to support data-driven decisions.

  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape related to backend billing systems, provisioning tools, and customer-facing dashboards. Share insights and opportunities for innovation with the team.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

  • 4+ years of proven product management experience, with expertise in backend systems, internal tools, and customer-facing features.

  • Strong technical acumen, including familiarity with billing systems, data processing, and infrastructure.

  • Previous experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success.

  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and product management tools.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
