Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate Program Manager for our Automation Pros Community. Automation Pros is Workato’s User Community where customers, partners, and automation builders discuss Workato best practices, recipe building tips, and cool automations. As the lead for the Automation Pros Community, you will own both the strategy and execution of programs that will grow the community, increase engagement, and ultimately increase usage and championship of the Workato platform. In your day-to-day you will cultivate discussion, share resources, promote product updates, identify customer advocates, promote our Automation Institute and more. 

If you are someone who is passionate about project management, testing creative ideas, scaling a high-impact program, and building relationships, this role is for you. While this position sits within Marketing, you will work cross-functionally with our Product, Support, and Partnerships teams. Success in this role will result in a high-functioning community with frequent and active discussion, exclusive events for members, as well as continued growth.


We are looking for a Community Program Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Own community strategy and the day-to-day operations of the Automation Pros Community

  • Deliver consistent and exceptional customer experiences across all phases of the Community Programming

  • Form and deepen relationships with community members; help identify advocates and find innovative ways to highlight them

  • Create and execute exclusive community events and content by working cross-functionally

  • Measure, report, and optimize Community growth and engagement

  • Collaborate with team leaders, peers, and program members to drive community engagement outcomes, including community membership & engagement growth, product innovation & feedback, groups + events enablement, and user-generated content.

  • Proactively handle changes in program scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plans. Manage unexpected communication challenges with high judgment and professionalism.

  • Lead coordination efforts in support of ongoing program activities and events, including product feedback sessions, site visits, developer relations, etc.

  • Drive promotional efforts to build awareness of the community, and its members, within the broader marketing and sales initiatives.


Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Experienced program/project manager with a proven track record of developing and managing successful customer programs.

  • 3-4+ years of experience in community management, user advocacy, or similar role.

  • Advanced level of expertise in online community engagement strategies & tactics.

  • Current experience working with community & social platforms.

  • A self-starter, driven, and motivated work style.

  • A warm and welcoming customer-facing personality with excellent listening and persuasion skills.

  • Culturally savvy & creative, with a good sense of judgment; can handle complex internal and external customer relationships with ease.

  • Ability to juggle multiple, opposing priorities while ensuring details are not lost.

  • Ability to learn technical vocabulary quickly and product concepts.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
