About the role:
As our Verification and Validation Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining UltiMaker's reputation for high-quality, reliable products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that our 3D printing solutions meet and exceed customer expectations.
What you'll do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for complex products combining hardware, embedded software, and front-end software components
- Utilize data-driven approaches and statistical analysis to validate product quality and reliability
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and address high-risk issues early in the development process
- Implement and improve automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage
- Provide independent quality assessments at key project milestones and integration points
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification and validation processes and methodologies, together with your teammates
- Maintain and optimize test configurations in our printer lab for consistent, reliable results
- Analyze and interpret test data, including log files and measurements, to drive product improvements
What you bring:
- Technical University Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics)
- 5+ years of experience in system-level validation and verification in a multidisciplinary product development environment
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools (e.g., FMEA, Six Sigma, statistical engineering)
- Proficiency in Python programming and comfort with command-line interfaces (CLI)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- EU passport or Dutch work permit
