We are looking for an experienced negotiator to join our global Procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked with vendors/ suppliers in the past either in an official or unofficial role. We are seeking a talented team player who is ambitious and wants to build their negotiating skills but is confident enough to take on big priority projects.
TripAdvisor operates the world’s largest travel guidance platform, visited by 450+ million travelers each month. The Procurement team is responsible for negotiating and managing vendor relationships and contracts for all TripAdvisor Media Group companies and all business units across the globe.
You will report to the Director of Procurement Operations and be responsible for negotiating agreements with vendors across the globe. This position will largely focus on agreements for our Viator and LaFourchette businesses but will also include some Tripadvisor brand agreements. You’ll join a small but mighty team supporting all of TripAdvisor Media Group’s global businesses.
What you’ll do:
- Frequently meet with business leads to understand their needs and ensure vendor proposals meet those needs
- Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous commercial terms
- Coordinate with legal team to secure advantageous legal terms and protections
- Manage contract lifecycle for all smaller agreements, from business requirements to legal approvals to contract signature
- Initiate contracting process for long-tail spend currently paid for by credit card
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance across agreements and processes
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Manage procurement practices consistently throughout the company
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms. Previous experience negotiating/ purchasing software preferred
- Excellent communication skills to manage cross-functionally, upward and externally
- Sharp organization skills
- Ability to understand what we’re trying to achieve and determine appropriate compromises

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with leaders and executives
