What does your job look like?
As a Product Owner, at PALO IT, you will play a crucial role in aligning country-specific product strategies and requirements with global goals. Working closely with Product Managers and Global Product Owners, you will help translate country needs into actionable features and user stories, ensuring that product development aligns with regional market expectations.
Your main responsibilities will be to
- Product Strategy Translation: Work closely with the Product Manager to translate country-specific product strategy and requirements into well-defined features and user stories for development teams.
- Country-Specific Delivery Management: Accountable for the successful delivery and maintenance of products tailored to local market needs.
- Feature/User Story Creation: Develop features and user stories that meet country-specific requirements, coordinating with Global Squads for implementation.
- Product Planning: Responsible for yearly and quarterly product planning to ensure alignment with local business objectives.
- Quarterly Business Review: Conduct regular reviews of local product performance and work with relevant teams to adjust priorities as necessary.
- Backlog Management: Oversee the local product backlog, ensuring that it reflects country-specific priorities and aligns with the overall product roadmap.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Local Product Managers, Global Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product requirements and strategic direction.
- Requirements Gathering: Collect essential information and feedback from country teams, ensuring the product addresses local market needs effectively.
- Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Work with local development, design, and marketing teams to define necessary specifications and support delivery.
- Performance Analysis: Evaluate product outcomes, success metrics, and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and ensure value for the local market.
- Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing of global squad deliveries to validate alignment with country requirements.
What you need
- Product Ownership Experience: At least 5 years of experience as Product Owner (no or similar role)
- Agile Methodologies: Proficient in Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban for managing the product lifecycle.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong ability to work across functional teams and communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to enhance product value.
- Cultural Adaptability: Experience working with teams from different cultures, with sensitivity to country-specific business needs, creativity and solution oriented.
- English Proficiency: Fluent in English (B2 level or higher).
