Role: Senior Data Strategist - CRM

ROLE MISSION

OLIVER’s Data Strategy & Analytics team is one of the fastest-growing agency data teams in London with the team doubling in size in the last year alone. Due to growth in the team, we’re looking for a Senior Data Strategist with a background in CRM & data-driven marketing, to join the CRM practice within Data Strategy.

 

As a senior member of the data group, you’ll provide strategic and consultative expertise on CRM and data driven marketing to our clients and on-site teams across the group. You’ll be a well-rounded data practitioner with subject matter expertise in CRM and data-driven marketing, as well as exposure to a range of topics from data strategy design, marketing cloud technologies, martech orchestration, segmentation & customer analytics, client and program management.  

You’ll work as part of a mixed team of data strategists, channel practitioners & technical specialists, playing a key role in supporting OLIVER’s offering in CRM & data-driven marketing, and drive the strategy of our clients and inside teams.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

The role will be based in our head office at Rosebery Avenue but will divide time between home and the office on a flexible basis.  

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

 

  • Diagnosing client challenges& opportunities in CRM & data driven marketing, designing strategies & roadmaps to support future growth.  
  • Acting as a senior CRM partner for our clients, using data strategy and analytical techniques to design connected customer experiences in areas such as data collection, personalisation, segmentation, marketing automation 
  • Developing smart, pragmatic CRM strategies and journeys, alongside colleagues in CX, content and campaign management – leveraging your understanding of customer data, measurement & analytics, and marketing cloud technologies 
  • Initially focussing on a disruptive insurance brand that Oliver is leading through a data-driven marketing transformation, defining how new marketing cloud technology can support the business and designing CRM strategies and programs to unlock this 
  • Leading/supporting various stages of client relationships – from creating proposals for prospective clients, discovery and onboarding, developing CRM data strategies and overseeing implementation & activation 

 

  • Leverage knowledge of wider analytical techniques such as predictive modelling, cluster and segmentation to develop new routes to tackling client requirements
  • Acting as an ambassador for data strategy & data driven marketing across the group, sharing your experience and insights and promoting the work   
  • Supporting new business opportunities in collaboration with a mixed stakeholder group
  • Coaching and managing other team members 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL .

  • Abright and savvy strategist with hands on experience of developing strategies, programs & roadmaps in customer data & CRM 
  • A confident thinker and communicator of your ideas, able to partner and influence manager to director level clients
  • Excellent communication / data storytelling skills, ability to distil complex ideas for non-technical audiences 
  • A natural collaborator able to quickly integrate, contribute and sometimes lead mixed stakeholder groups  
  • Proactive, dynamic individual able to work at pace, manage their workload and operate self sufficiently
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  •  

At least 5 years extensive hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in CRM plus 1 of the other two fields

 

  • CRM: customer journey design, marketing cloud technologies (eg Sales force Marketing Cloud) customer analytics, CRM program design 
  • Data strategy: building out strategies to collect, manage and activate 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data 
  • Data-driven marketing: data informed media activation, retargeting, audience building & lookalikes, CDP powered media, data enrichment, data partnerships 

Confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
