Role: Sales Manager

Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid; x2days onsite)

 

ROLE MISSION

Come and join our Growth team as our Sales Enthusiast. We are looking for a self-motivated driven individual to lead new business opportunities. You will form part of our highly successful commercial department and work with both Sales & Marketing functions to develop lead generation programmes and maximise outreach to our prospective client base. In this role, you will be the initial point of contact for senior stakeholders (CMO, Head of Marketing, Procurement lead etc) within companies that could benefit from our model, capabilities and technology solutions. You will be required to develop a strong relationship with these individuals, find out what the prospective company needs and be able to recommend a meeting to discuss the client’s products/services. You’ll qualify for the opportunity, then book a meeting with our Sales team who will progress them through the sales cycle. Successful candidates in this role have gone on to progress to the role of Sales Manager, with team members now independently working on large-scale deals across a range of sectors.  In addition to your basic salary, you will have the opportunity to earn a commission as part of the sales team. This offers additional earning potential, structured around meeting generation and working alongside senior members of the sales team for the successful deployment of new engagements.  

 

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

Reports to the Senior Sales Director, but will be supported with mentoring from the Senior Sales Managers in the team

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Delivering the entire sales cycle from prospect identification to contract implementation
  • Creating and designing bespoke agency solutions for clients
  • Selling onsite content, creative and digital agencies that include a range of services including an online and offline end to end creative and design, PR + social media, digital, copywriting, videography, data & analytics, etc.
  • Developing structured sales strategies, sales plans, and profit targets as well as short term tactics;
  • Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market;
  • Compiling and analysing sales figures;
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research. Data and insight informed outreach to new prospects - email / LinkedIn / Phone / In-person events / in-person conferences  
  • Use tools e.g. Pearlfinders for outreach and review any live tenders and feed them through to rest of team;
  • Review daily / weekly marketing news - Campaign live, Marketing Week, the Drum etc online each day and report back with relevant news etc  
  • Create online and offline sales materials in conjunction with the wider team and marketing function;
  • Work internally with senior agency stakeholders to create targeted LinkedIn campaigns;
  • Management, creation and response of new business pitches and RFP’s;
  • Create and update the Salesforce customer/contact database;
  • Activate Account-Based Marketing plans and tailored one-to-one campaigns to sales prospects s required;
  • Produce marketing related management information reports
     

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales
  • Ideally selling marketing services, content, design or creative agency services to blue-chip client marketers
  • A consultative and solution-based sales approach;
  • Excellent document creation/sales deck capabilities;
  • Face to face and telephone sales experience including negotiation and pitching;
  • Ability to adopt different sales styles to match customers’ requirements;
  • Ability to priorities leads and maximize revenue generation via sales pipeline control;
  • Consistently achieving sales targets;
  • Commercially astute
  • Open mind, willingness to learn and proactive 
  • Sales & Marketing experience within a service/marketing environment would be an advantage but not essential 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint  
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Good organisational & time management skills  
  • Good relationship-building skills  
  • Experience with CRM platforms is desirable - Salesforce, Hubspot etc
