Position Summary

The Director/Sr. Director of Technical Program Management at Nubank will be the driving force behind execution to optimize the way we build and deliver end-to-end products at global scale and will report directly to the Senior Director of Engineering across Growth, Credit Card or Common Technology Platforms.

As the initial leader within a vertical who will build a Program Management team, you will have the chance to mobilize and inspire the team, drive complex cross functional programs and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders as we define the team charter and create the program management function at Nubank.

In this role you will partner and influence a global team that ensures Product & Technology teams work directly with Business, Marketing, Customer Service teams to understand the needs and aspirations of our customers and partners. You will drive all aspects of concept to customer for different initiatives on the roadmap for customer facing applications, platform services, tools, APIs, capabilities, documentation, and customer/developer support. Your team's goal would be to work with cross functional teams with different development teams, product management, and business teams across Nubank globally for timely and effective execution of key initiatives for the org.

You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively across multiple organizations, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high-quality, simple products and applications that developers and customers love.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish successful end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of product and technology initiatives 
  • Ensure your team is allocated to the most strategic business needs at the company by understanding the Company’s Product and Engineering strategy
  • Hiring and developing TPMs on the team that develops the roadmap and deliver key products, features and services for the web, mobile and beyond.
  • Manage prioritization and trade offs against developer experience, customer experience, and time to market.
  • Drive architecture and integration decisions and timelines with dependency teams
  • Establish business processes and policies as well as metrics and indicators for success.
  • Develop, report, and continually improve business performance metrics
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goal
  • Deliver overall messaging of status, issues and change management 
  • Perform SWOT analysis across organization, create recommendations for efficiency and quality, and set strategy and priorities

Basic Qualification

  • 10+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry, including hands-on management of large, cross-functional software efforts
  • 2+ years of experience in building project management teams by identifying, hiring and developing top talent
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience managing efforts in software driven delivery, with agile methodologies distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications

Preferred Qualification

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Strong bias for action and "get it done" attitude
  • A Masters in computer science or related technical discipline
  • Experience building apps through an app platform or ecosystem, such as iTunes, Google Play·
  • Experience driving Agile and DevOps organizational transformation at scale
