Manager of State and Federal Government Affairs (Energy, Sustainability & Renewable specialist – Focus Bitcoin Mining)


The Manager of State and Federal Government Affairs is a critical role focusing on the intersection of Bitcoin mining, energy policy, renewable energy, and sustainability. This position will spearhead efforts to develop and advocate for policies that support Bitcoin mining, emphasizing the adoption of sustainable and renewable energy practices. The role requires collaboration with federal and state agencies, Congress, and key stakeholders in the energy, environmental, and sustainability sectors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Support the VP of Policy in the development and advocacy of policies that support and enhance Bitcoin mining, with a focus on incorporating sustainable and renewable energy solutions.
  2. Engage with federal and state agencies focusing on energy, environmental, and sustainability issues to promote renewable energy practices in Bitcoin mining.
  3. Research and secure grants and funding opportunities focused on renewable energy development applicable to Bitcoin mining.
  4. Create and disseminate educational content and thought leadership on the integration of renewable energy in sustainable Bitcoin mining practices.
  5. Work collaboratively with Congress to influence and shape energy and environmental policy, ensuring the advancement and support of the Bitcoin mining industry.
  6. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting Bitcoin mining, particularly those related to renewable energy and sustainability.
  7. Collaborate with Political Action Committees (PACs) to further renewable energy and sustainability objectives within the Bitcoin mining sector.

  • Expertise in energy policy, renewable energy, and sustainability with a strong interest in Bitcoin mining.
  • Experience working with federal and state agencies related to energy, environmental, and sustainability issues.
  • Proven ability to engage with Congress on energy and environmental policy matters, preferably those affecting Bitcoin mining.
  • Experience collaborating with or alongside Political Action Committees (PACs) focused on energy or sustainability.
  • Strong skills in research, writing, and publishing content related to energy
    policy, renewable energy, and sustainability.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, capable of producing data-driven insights and effectively communicating findings to influence policy and public opinion in the realm of Bitcoin mining.


  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree or Juris Doctor preferred, in a field related to energy policy, environmental science, renewable energy.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in advocacy, public policy, or related fields, with a specific focus on energy, environmental sustainability, and renewable energy.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with government agencies, Congress, and PACs in areas of energy policy, renewable energy, and sustainability.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications.
