SUMMARY

The Director of Site Development will be in charge of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). This role is a strategic leader in charge of site planning and development for the company and its projects, as well as managing and executing construction of the company's energy project and data center initiatives. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provide strategic leadership for a portfolio of projects and mitigate potential risk by being proactive in assessing and addressing potential issues.
  2. Ensure that site-level safety practices and protocols are implemented.
  3. Establish project goals and provide direction for projects from development through the construction phase.
  4. Provide input to the to the pre-engineering and constructability reviews.
  5. Improve procurement of long-lead equipment.
  6. Participate in the prequalification of all contractors to ensure the best opportunity for contract execution.
  7. Ensure that safety, quality, cost, environmental, landowner, and legal requirements are achieved or exceeded while accomplishing project objectives.
  8. Create and ensure that financial processes are in place to maximize project profitability.
  9. Analysis of broad and complex issues and the formulation of strategies to ensure that deadlines for internal and external stakeholder delivery are met in a cost-effective manner.  
  10. Manage the engineering, procurement, and construction functions.
  11. Evaluate, recommend and implement continuous improvement plans for EPC processes and KPIs.
  12. Relationship management with local regulatory and government bodies.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate and/or finance, project management, or related major in a technical area of study preferred. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure development-related fields including construction, finance, design, urban planning, government regulatory agencies, project management or similar role where there has been clear advancement and this is the next step in your career, for a top tier construction, solar, or wind development.
  • Strong leadership record demonstrating the ability to grow and influence highly effective teams.
  • Ability to manage technical and contractor procurement strategies.
  • Ability to forecast cost at completions, schedule impacts, and possible mitigations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to facilitate meetings of both a business and technical nature.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage key contractor, consultant and supplier relationships.
  • Solid financial acumen including demonstrated P&L responsibility, budgeting and cost management.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute deadline driven projects with strong bias for action and ability to prioritize multiple and competing projects.
