Helion is looking for a talented Visual Communications Specialist who has a strong desire to play a role in the global clean energy transition. This position will be responsible for creating engaging visual brand assets that promote our mission and educate the public about Helion’s groundbreaking technology. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional visual storyteller with strong skills in photography, videography, and graphic design.
What you’ll be doing
Visually document, through photo and video, our team’s progress as we build the world’s first net electricity fusion device
Create compelling videos that promote Helion’s mission and progress toward a clean energy future
Produce engaging infographics that advance understanding of Helion’s fusion technology
Apply current visual design principles to create digital and print media, including PowerPoint presentations and conference handouts
Develop an internal newsletter to document team progress
Create and monitor content on Helion’s social media channels
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in photography, videography, graphic design, communications, fine arts, or other related field
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, PremierePro and Photoshop
Strong portfolio in photography and/or videography
Experience creating infographics and/or data visualizations
Advanced knowledge of visual design principles
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desire to learn about innovative technologies
Experience in social media management a plus
