What You Will Be Doing:
As a CAD Designer, you will work directly with our Engineering Team to develop and create 3D models and technical drawings for our products. You will influence designs and guide the team to standardized approaches in modeling, drafting, and assembling structures. You will report onsite directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:
- Design high-quality 3D models using CAD software, such as NX or SolidWorks
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for production
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure design and production feasibility
- Manage upper-level assemblies for our next-generation fusion machine, Polaris
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve design and production
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or 5+ years of industry experience in CAD software and assembly management
- Expert proficiency in CAD software, such as NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, with an ability to create complex models and drawings
- Advanced experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software systems, and experience managing high-level bills of material through multiple phases of the development cycle
- Advanced familiarity with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) standards, with an ability to apply these standards to complex designs
- Experience with product design in the energy, aerospace, or manufacturing industries
- Understanding of Mechanical and Structural fundamentals, with an ability to use hand-calculations and tolerance stack-ups to validate designs
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, with a focus on optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
The pay range for this position is $140k-190k. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed based on several factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications.
