What You Will Be Doing:
You will help grow our hydrogen isotope separation technologies as part of our broader effort to process fusion exhaust streams. You will build and operate purification systems, develop, and analyze experimental tests, and integrate your findings into scalable solutions. The Isotope Separation team is part of the Radiation Safety and Nuclear Science (RaSNS) department. You will report to the Isotope Team Lead at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:
- Build, iterate, and operate tritium and deuterium purification systems
- Collaborate with Engineering and Materials teams to refine and integrate isotope separation technologies into the fusion fuel cycle
- Develop isotope separation tests, analyze data, and draft technical reports
- Work with vendors and collaborators
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in hydrogen chemistry, isotope separation, or related fields
- Familiarity with vacuum and gas handling systems
- Experience using tools like Python or MATLAB
The pay range for this position is $105k-160k. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
