The Executive Director of Research Insights & Content Operations will report to VP – Product Ops, Content & Automation and be responsible for research across all major services lines (such as Cardiovascular, Orthopedics, Spine & Neuro), and item data catalog curation (delivering millions of expertly enriched data points and validated attributes such as GTIN, UNSPSC, HCPCs, revenue & billing codes, and descriptions to the ERP). This position is responsible for leveraging their expertise to ensure that our research and content is accurate and for creating operational processes and structures that generate high-quality deliverables and impactful results for GHX. GHX is a healthcare business and data automation company, empowering healthcare organizations to enable better patient care and maximize industry savings using our world class cloud-based supply chain technology exchange platform, data connect solutions, analytics and services. 

Successful candidates will have an in-depth understanding of the healthcare supply chain industry and the business challenges that providers & suppliers in healthcare community face with respect to purchasing and selling of medical devices and items. The candidate will also be an effective leader that can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is able to navigate through the ambiguity and complexity of research and data to help our customers address their most critical needs. In addition, this position requires an advanced degree of excellence at operating leadership, strategic thinking, performance management, ability to build and manage teams in US and India. It is also important for this position to represent the organization internally and externally (client-facing). This position will need to excel at collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders within GHX organization, both in US and India.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operating leader with clinical knowledge for healthcare organizations (e.g., pharma, medical device, hospital, clinical research).  
  • Exhibits strong industry knowledge & understanding of market trends (with respect to clinically integrated supply chain) and demonstrates a willingness to learn & grow.
  • Leads development of strategic plans for the function that are aligned with corporate strategy & annual objectives.
  • Develop and manage multi-service global operations framework including a multi-year operating roadmap, with financials, performance metrics, business continuity and risks covered.
  • Continuously improves processes to drive efficiency in and scalability of our research & content and adapt priorities to address operational challenges and/or customer needs.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to help team balance operational trade-offs with impact through a data-driven approach, sometimes without knowing the full picture.
  • Effectively manages budget to meet needs of the function.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to support commercial and product objectives by prioritizing research & content that meets their needs and delivers it through efficient & scalable processes.
  • Experience leading multiple teams to achieved defined outcomes. Passionate about coaching and developing others.
  • Exceed/meet the objectives and key results (OKRs) for operational performance, resource (people) management and targeted business (cost savings & efficiency) outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • MS in Bioengineering OR MBA (any discipline) with a clinical and supply chain background
  • 10+ years’ experience in managing teams as an operating leader with clinical knowledge for a technology and/or healthcare organization (e.g., pharma, medical device, hospital, clinical research)  
  • Certifications in: Leadership & Strategy, Operations Management, Transformation is an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Relatable clinical healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple teams, prioritize objectives, develop & execute solutions with minimal assistance.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (listening, verbal and written) with the ability to communicate with cross-functional onshore/offshore stakeholders and GHX leadership.
  • Focus on exceeding operating performance and related team and financial targets.
  • Good understanding of the Business Process operating environment and the key levers for effectively managing teams for excellent performance at an optimal cost of delivery.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MySQL preferred. 

 

Estimated salary range: $143,900 - $205,500

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
