Job Summary:

Will direct and develop customer data management efforts, primarily supporting data quality initiatives to drive accuracy, consistency, and completeness of enriched data within the content database.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and maintains database based on defined standards relative to medical surgical devices and supplies to ensure data quality for the GHX customer base.
  • Role is to gather, analyze and validate the content (specification info) of med surgical and pharmaceutical materials data typically used in hospitals.
  • Support Content Operations goals and objectives.
  • Performs data processing and final review of the client’s clinical/ pharmacy inventory data to ensure all changes regarding manufacturing ID, unit of measure, quantity and price are processed prior to delivery to QA.
  • Process data steps to complete final post inventory file for clinical & pharmacy clients inventory valuation report to ensure all changes are incorporated prior to delivery to client.
  • Process data steps to generate unique file from client provided input of item master/purchase order files in the pre-inventory process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in information systems, preferably in a healthcare-related discipline.
  • Graduates from Pharmacy/Bachelor of Science/Master of Science in (Microbiology/Botany/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Zoology) or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in Data Quality Assurance, Data Management, Healthcare Supply Chain, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must possess a high degree of proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Usage and familiarity with MS Access an advantage.
  • Familiarity with classification standards like UNSPSC & other classification to medical/surgical classification standards is a plus.
  • Qualified candidate should be able to understand and infer technical specifications and capture most appropriate information into respective product headers like:
    1. Name of product, variant of products, features, pricing/UOM, brands.
    2. Manufacturer, vendor details/repackaging information etc.
    3. Ability to identify exact duplicate products and duplicate products across subsidiaries.
  • Strong analytical skills in interpreting various data sets
  • Medical product and terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Supply chain knowledge preferred.
