Supports customer data management efforts, primarily focused on data quality initiatives to drive accuracy, consistency, and completeness of enriched data within the content database.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the production team managing/maintaining the database grounded in defined standards relative to medical surgical devices and supplies to ensure data quality for the GHX customer base.
  • Contributes to the development of standards, processes, and procedures that support Content Operations goals and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex VBA applications for Excel and Access.
  • Analyze and understand business requirements to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented VBA code.
  • Implement best practices for VBA coding, including error handling, object-oriented programming, and modularity.
  • Debug and troubleshoot existing VBA applications.
  • Collaborate with business users and other developers to ensure successful implementation of VBA solutions.
  • Stay up to date on the latest VBA developments and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for VBA applications.
  • Mentor and train junior developers on VBA best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Information Systems/Engineering, preferably in a healthcare-related discipline.
  • Graduates from Engineering/Diploma in engineering.
  • Candidates with a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in VBA role preferably in a KPO will be given preference.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • SQL experience for data querying and analysis with Data content management experience
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Excel/MS Access
  • Strong analytical skills in interpreting various data sets
  • Medical product and terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Supply chain knowledge preferred.
  • Project management skills
