Responsibilities as a Software Engineer at GHX: 

  • Collaborate with your engineering leader, developer colleagues, and other cross-functional teams to design and develop and improve our existing Windows applications. 
  • Break down complex problems or business scenarios into user-friendly application solutions. 
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback. 
  • Design, develop, and deploy innovative and efficient changes to our software suite. 
  • Prioritize code quality, ensuring good test coverage and maintainability for fellow engineers. 
  • Engage in our culture of continuous enhancement. 
  • Design software modules with a focus on user experience, simplicity, and ease of maintenance. 
  • Use metrics and diagnostics tools to gauge application performance and guide optimizations. 
  • Communicate transparently with colleagues and stakeholders throughout the agile development process to ensure on-time delivery. 
  • Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks within our software. 
  • Share knowledge and expertise about C++ and C# development techniques through internal technical presentations. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience in Windows desktop application development using C++ and C#. 
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred. 
  • Deep understanding of Windows application development and the intricacies of the Windows operating system. 

 

You'll excel in this role if you have: 

  • Proficiency in C++ and C# for desktop application development. 
  • Should have basic knowledge of DevOps tools like AWS or Azure 
  • Experience with Windows API and other related development tools. 
  • Worked within and communicated across cross-functional technical teams. 
  • Adherence to software best practices, such as test coverage, application profiling, and technical documentation.
