The Social Media Project Manager supports the Microsoft Apps workstream (PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Microsoft To Do) for Paid Campaign, Blog and Social, which helps stakeholders across Microsoft’s cloud business leverage brand channels to drive impact through quality social content. This SMPM role works closely in the Modern Work POD (Apps + Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Windows 365, Viva) on content and platform strategies with Microsoft Social Lead, associated agencies and stakeholders, along with managing the upfront ideation and content delivery workflows.  

In addition to contributing to the strategic approach to the Apps workstream, the SMPM will own the content delivery workflow for their workstream POD. This includes managing the intake, status updates, and seamless transitions between teams and partner agencies for all pieces of content.  The position also works closely with the programming team and Delivery Manager to ensure the all-up content lifecycle is regularly reviewed and optimized for the team. 

What you will do: 

Day to day 

Manage the content delivery process for their workstream POD and Microsoft client – monitor the status of each piece of content, review for quality assurance and flag barriers as the content is developed. 

  • Work closely with Programming team to ensure all content is fully supported through publishing. 
  • Own social media content ideation and content development process for the Apps workstream.  
  • Continuously drive target audience and data-driven insights to inform strategy planning.  

Weekly 

Within the Modern Work Pod, support reporting performance against goals and objectives and collaborate with analytics resources to interpret data into actionable insights. This may include contributing to monthly reports, organic/paid campaign reports, ad hoc reporting, and social listening and competitor observations and recommendations. 

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on social best practices and recommendations. 
  • Oversee the weekly/monthly social channel editorial calendar for the Apps workstream.  
  • Align with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure all content is comprehensive and strategically driven. 
  • Work with the programming to maintain tagging hygiene, including the implementation of proper tagging and maintaining product alignment from inception to reporting. 

Monthly 

Upload/manage individual content tasks and the full development process. 

  • Monitor all up workflow hygiene and provide optimization recommendations. 
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders to promote content focused on their workstream.   
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews of the content prior to passing it along for final delivery. This includes ensuring the content is using the latest formatting and best practices. 

Quarterly 

Create and advise on processes, governance, and best practices pertaining to demand generation via social and blog channels. 

  • Manage updates to associated guides and resources for the internal teams, stakeholders and social leads. 
  • Contribute to additional integrated marketing projects and initiatives as needed, based on team priorities. 

What you bring:     

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience     
  • 2 years of experience managing social media programs and strategy     
  • 2 years of experience with social scheduling and monitoring tools (Preferably Sprinklr)    
  • 1+ year of creative and/or copywriting experience    
  • Experienced in the use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) with a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape     
  • Ability to work successfully with diverse groups of stakeholders across companies to ensure successful planning, execution, and reporting     
  • A high degree of skill at interpreting data to inform strategy and provide actionable insights     
  • A customer service mindset when working with stakeholders      
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams    
  • Microsoft experience a plus

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $100,000 

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
