When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour.  Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 5 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city.  Fast forward 5 years and we operate in 13 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide.

We work with riders, restaurants and consumers. We operate one of the most complex three sided marketplaces in the world and we do this in real time. Millions of customers and thousands of restaurants and riders rely on us to match them within milliseconds. The algorithms behind that marketplace are the secret sauce that allow us to deliver our orders in under 30 minutes.

The Role

We are looking for a field based Business Development Manager. This is a rare opportunity to become a founding and critical member of a rapidly growing, well-funded startup. You’ll be liaising with Perth's most premium and highly regarded restaurants. As a member of the local sales team, your role will include developing new relationships with restaurants as well cultivating existing ones. This is a role for an intelligent, motivated, self starter to develop their sales career for a leading company within its market sector.

You will be tasked with signing up Perth's best restaurants. More specifically, you will:

  • Map and target restaurants across Perth in a very methodical and organised fashion
  • Communicate (physical visits, email, calls, social media) with restaurants to demonstrate Deliveroo technology
  • Sample food from a variety of high quality establishments
  • Attend restaurant and food meet ups

Requirements

  • You must be comfortable with targeting new business and have proven Sales Experience
  • The job requires great communication skills whether it be face to face, through phone or email
  • Ability to persuasively demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients is a must
  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus
  • You will need to be tenacious and self motivated
