Senior Event Marketing and Communications Consultant (G2)
CINCINNATI / CHICAGO
SUMMARY:
We are looking for a talented Senior Event Marketing and Communications Consultant to quickly build and grow our event marketing and media relations capabilities. You will be a central part of our marketing efforts as we heighten awareness for KPM within the broader media advertising industry. The role requires hands-on planning and tactical event management, a passion for the digital media industry, an understanding of prospect motivations, and a knack for getting others to perform at their best. You will work closely with subject matter experts, sales leaders, company executives, and your peers in marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shape an overall event marketing strategy to spotlight KPM capabilities and clients through weekly virtual or live events, conferences, webinars, podcasts, panels, and other appearances
- Solicit a year-round schedule of company appearances at key events and conferences hosted by partners, agencies, clients, publishers, vendors, and industry associations
- Collaborate across teams to develop event goals, metrics, and messaging
- Lead the ideation and creation of 2-3 KPM-owned events including client conferences
- Prepare executives, clients, and subject matter experts to serve as spokespeople through event briefings, rehearsals, and presentation material
- Own and design creative execution for events within overall KPM messaging framework
- Prepare post-event reports, measure impact, and recommend optimizations
- Travel as needed for on-site management of our activity (up to 25% of time)
- Solicit and select event sponsorship opportunities
- Manage budgets, contracts, vendors, and marketing assets associated with events
- Act as primary KPM marketing liaison with key media and advertising associations
- Develop a promotional strategy and social content to amplify our event presence
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- A proven track record for working cross functionally in a marketing team
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- 3-5 years event marketing experience in media, retail, technology, or digital ad tech industries
- Highly equipped to manage concurrent timelines and projects
- An understanding of the media/advertising landscape and industry
- Ability to prioritize and communicate complex messages
- Moderate proficiency with design tools and an eye for visual communication
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
