Your Role:

As Tenable continues to grow and differentiate from other cybersecurity companies in the market, we are looking for a proven Lead Generation leader to join our North America sales leadership team. Our next Senior Director, Lead Generation will be responsible to lead a driven team of Sales Development Representatives and for driving creative strategy in Lead Generation for our company’s largest market, North America. We need someone who can build and execute on creative approaches, track and analyze sales activity, partner across sales leaders and marketing to further our reach and ultimately assist our sellers in bringing new customers to our products and platform. This role will be located in our Columbia MD headquarters, where we enjoy a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days in office / 2-3 days remote.

Your Opportunity:

  • Directly manage the SDR Managers to lead success of a team of 30+ Sales Development Representatives

  • Collaborate with regional Sales Directors, VPs, Marketing, Enablement, and Operations to understand the needs of the region and how the SDR team supports those needs

  • Coach, mentor and motivate to ensure a highly motivated and successful sales development team is in place and understands the role they play in generating revenue for the company

  • Assist in recruiting, staffing and training to grow and maintain a sales team that is utilizing all tools available to them, assessing productivity and adjusting as needed to meet key metrics, and that messaging matches corporate and sales expectations

  • Coach and provide feedback to the sales team in the areas of sales/personal development, direction, and focus

  • Conduct weekly forecast review and quarterly progress review sessions with managers to understand the impact of each SDR on the team

  • Manage productivity, funnel of opportunities, and quality to ensure teams meet established goals and standards

  • Collaborate with other global Lead Generation leaders on strategic projects and initiatives

  • Provide reporting through continuous update and maintenance of all necessary metrics in Salesforce, LinkedIn Sale Navigators and other necessary tools

  • Collaborate regularly with sales management to to identify strategies to achieve sales goals as well as uncover and deliver on new high value opportunities

What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years experience of inside sales management, ideally within technology vertical

  • Experience using prospecting tools such as Linkedin Sales Navigator, Salesforce, Storylane

  • Extensive experience conducting and teaching cold calling, personalized written outreach, and creative prospecting tactics

  • Demonstrated success in forecasting, territory planning, and account mapping

  • Resilient, positive, energetic, driven, results oriented, confident, coachable, eagerness to help people succeed

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Competency with sales tracking tools

  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and strong experience in report creation and generation

  • Must be detail oriented and capable of accurate work with minimal supervision
