Your Role:

Leads the quality of Tenable’s products by designing and developing software tools, test frameworks, and/or automated tests in certain focus areas. The goals of these is to verify the functionality of the products, their operational resiliency and/or performance of Tenable’s solutions. Also lead manually testing and performing exploratory testing of our solutions, contribute to setting up the test infrastructure and provide reporting of the test results.

Your Opportunity:

• Proficient in the Tenable product portfolio, and is an expert in testing methodologies to verify functionality, operability and performance of Tenable’s solutions
• Expertly leads particular areas in the design and development of test automation frameworks and/or the design and development of automated tests using the frameworks for end to end solution acceptance
• Assess the effectiveness of quality initiatives (e.g. automation, manual tests, bug bounties, etc) and lead change improvements
• Drives the manual, exploratory and performance testing efforts to help identify areas of risk that may not be automated yet
• Obsessed with quality of products
• Eager to learn
• Should lead/drive testing initiatives with minimum guidance

• May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time


What You'll Need:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of testing experience in both manual testing practices and test automation development
• Possess enterprise product testing experience
• Must have a strong initiative and the ability to work both in a self-directed manner and as part of a team
• A passion for breaking things
• Mentor SET and other engineers on the team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least some exposure to a full software development life cycle (SDLC): requirements analysis, design, estimation, development, quality control and unit testing
• Experience in Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible (or other equivalent automation tools)
• Experience with Selenium, WebDriver, Protractor/Cucumber, or related technologies
• Experience building automated test suites for SaaS products using Node.js, Python, or similar, and has a solid grasp of SQL

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
• Some travel may be required
