We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing Finance Team to lead our accounting close and operations at StockX. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for managing the monthly general ledger accounting and reporting close process to ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy across various entities and systems and processes in a high-growth environment.

You’ll work cross-functionally and collaborate with key Finance business partners (FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Revenue Accounting) to develop and-or refine processes to streamline the close process while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly close process including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, corporate credit cards, cash, and the procure-to-pay process.
  • Facilitate the global accounting close process and consolidation of worldwide entities.
  • Prepare preliminary consolidated financial statements and related schedules as part of monthly-quarterly internal close package.
  • Manage and review work of other accountants with responsibilities in the GL and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Collaborate on workflow design with key Finance partners on development of processes, policies, systems, controls, and compliance around procure-to-pay, expense reporting, close, etc.
  • Partner with the Accounting Director - Technical Accounting on the implementation of new accounting standards or accounting for non-standard transactions.
  • Lead, grow, and develop existing team to support Accounting specific requirements as well as the overall growth of the company.
  • Liaise with external auditors to manage various audit requirements.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Finance / Accounting
  • CPA license 
  • Minimum of 7 years accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and consolidation experience of foreign entities required
  • Experience with various accounting systems and tools, including implementation of Tier1/Tier2 ERP systems highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and grow existing team as well as work develop/maintain strong cross-functional relationships
