The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Website Manager:

The Website Manager will lead the editorial planning and execution of all needs related to the LA28 website (LA28.org) and any associated CRM properties. She/he/they will work closely with the Marketing Manager to lead landing page ideation and creation to meet the needs of upcoming and ongoing website additions with a key emphasis on website project management, asset sourcing/formatting, wireframing and copyediting. The role requires a proactive, self-driven individual with an impeccable attention to detail who will be a key contributor in building, expanding and updating the LA28 web properties on an ongoing basis. 

This is a results-focused role for a hands-on person who is driven to create tangible outputs with cross-functional teams. This person must be skilled at juggling multiple priorities and demands at once on a very fast- paced team.

This position will report to the Marketing Manager.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing all updates to the LA28 website properties to support any needs related to LA28, Partners and the Olympic and Paralympic movement.  
  • Serve as the main point of contact and Project Manager focused on supporting complete site translation from English to Spanish alongside a third-party translation service or contractor. 
  • Project manage all defined website updates using tools like Asana and Excel and report back on progress and future needs. 
  • Collaborate with Design, Digital Engagement, Communications, Legal and Games Planning & Delivery teams to establish cross-functional workflows to deliver on defined website projects and anticipated future projects. 
  • Own and execute on all website content production needs including but not limited to: general ongoing website updates, regularly copyediting and publishing news and press releases, SEO keyword buildout support, as well as formulating and publishing new landing pages.  
  • Act as the primary contact to support coordination with agencies, freelancers, and consultants to manage creative briefs, workflows, and production needs.     
  • Work cross-functionally with the Insights and Analytics team to share back traffic reporting across website properties including execution of metadata and tag management of content with data insights. 
  • Ensure all website content is accessible and reflects diverse voices and perspectives, especially from underrepresented groups, aligning with DEIB tenets. 
  • Create, manage and lead the development of link tracking processes for the website, including creating links and tracking links already in use. 
  • Continually contribute to the Digital team’s overall marketing campaigns and initiatives. 

Background & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of website management and marketing experience
  • Proven front-end web development experience specifically conceiving, developing, and executing website content in the form of new pages. 
  • Must be proficient in both English and Spanish  
  • Passionate about marketing, CRM and integrated marketing communications including keeping up on emerging trends and industry standards. 
  • Impeccable copywriting/copy editing skills and an adaptable voice/style for varying needs. 
  • Self-starter who is highly passionate about sport and/or the Olympic and Paralympic movement 
  • Skilled at project management, working quickly under pressure and being resourceful in ambiguous circumstances. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)
  • Proficiency in inclusive communication, ensuring that content is accessible to a diverse audience, including people with disabilities (e.g., ensuring website compliance with WCAG—Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)

 

Position Requirements:

  • Highly knowledgeable on all things website and must be able to work on-site 4 days per week in the LA28 office.

Education:

  • BS/BA degree in website management, CRM, SEO, or related field or equivalent work experience 

Expectations:

  • Huge interest in sports, pop culture, LA community, and/or web development/coding
  • Preferred, but not required  experience in Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Asana, Excel

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
