The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

IF Relations & Services Manager
The IF Relations & Services Manager will play a critical role within the LA28 Sport team, reporting to the Senior Director Sport and leading all aspects of planning and delivery of services to International Federations (IFs). As well, this role will work with each Sport Manager to liaise with each IF on both pre-Games and Games-time deliverables while centrally managing all formal IF communications (presentations and publications).
The position will be expected to collaborate with the centralized Sport Planning team as well as other LA28 functions (i.e. Accommodations, Accreditation, Transportation, Logistics, etc.), and across the organization (including but not limited to Finance & Procurement, Communications, Strategy, Marketing, Commercial, Technology, and HR).
Key Responsibilities:
IF Relations & Services Scope
- Develop the IF Communication plan for pre-Games and Games-time to include both presentations, publications and any other formal communications to the IFs
- Manage the budget and reporting on all pre-Games IF Site Visits, training Sport Managers and Competition Management staff on the related policies and procedures for visits
- Develop an LA28 specific Sport Delivery Plan template and validate the document with IOC and IPC Sport
- Onboard all Sport Managers on the management and development process for each SDP, providing clear guidance on the purpose of the document and their role and responsibility
IF Services Planning
- Develop all IF Services policies and procedures for both pre-Games and Games-time
- Ensure that all Games-time requirements for the IF Delegates, International Technical Officials and National Technical Official have been defined, validated, planned and budgeted for
- Draft a Games-time operating plan for IF Relations and Services
- In coordination with LA28 functions develop a strategy for the delivery of all contractual obligations related to Technical Officials Services at Games-time
- Lead the development of all Technical Officials Guides for each Olympic and Paralympic Sport, innovating on previous Games models where possible
- As the client owner for IFs review and provide feedback to other LA28 Functions on their service delivery plans
- Coordinate with each Sport Manager on the planning for IF Services at each competition venue, mapping services and service levels
Administration, Budget & Program Management
- Centrally track IF communications, visits and other engagement activities, providing status updates and reports to the Senior Sport Director and Group Sport Managers
- Provide reports and updates on the status of deliverables and tasks to communicate overall progress on the IF Relations and Services project
- Support the development of budgets and project plans with well researched and validated information
- Develop reports on the status of deliverables within each Sport Delivery Plan, coordinating with other Functions to provide a dashboard on SDP progress, changes, issues and risks
IF Services – Games-Time
- Provide centralized support and reporting of all Sport operations during the Games via a role within the Sport Operations Center
- Lead a small team of IF Services workforce to coordinate the delivery of services outside of the competition and training venues to the IF
Background & Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience in client services and relationship management, ideally in the sport’s industry
- Experience collaborating with colleagues on client services including, accommodation, hospitality and transport
- Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues
- Fluent working with Office suite products including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with experience in defining tasks, seeking feedback, and evolving work
- Required proven ability of building good interpersonal relationships with people across the organization and with external stakeholders, while balancing assertiveness with diplomacy
- Ability to implement and manage change effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
- Experience considering diverse groups of athletes in Sport planning and delivery, with special attention to how ability, gender, and other identities impact different athletes’ experiences

The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
