About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record to lead the Industrious Marketing team. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for building and executing our marketing strategies to deliver on our growth and brand objectives for our 3 business lines: Coworking, Enterprise and Real Estate. As you do this, you’ll have the opportunity to reinvent the way that businesses find and select a place to work, and the way real estate owners shift their approach to managing their buildings. You will be responsible for developing our teams of design, comms, product marketing, growth marketing, and regional marketing into a best-in-class marketing organization.

As VP of Marketing, you will:

  • Manage our customer acquisition efforts across our online and offline channels to hit our growth targets and optimize our acquisition efficiency for our 3 key businesses: Coworking, Enterprise, and Real Estate
  • Direct and enable the strategic and collaborative efforts between the marketing team and product, digital, real estate, and unit operations 
  • Oversee and further refine our marketing systems, infrastructure and reporting
  • Lead development of marketing strategy and product marketing: value proposition, messaging, segmentation, channel mix, market analysis, competitive intelligence, creative asset development etc
  • Nurture and grow our marketing team (currently team of 20+, likely growing to ~30 by the end of 2020)
  • Oversee the execution of brand through our website, advertising, content, collateral and marketing messaging
  • Partner with our CEO, Director of Communications and VP of Product to shape the Industrious brand. Partner with our business line GMs to adjust our overall go-to-market strategy (pricing, sales models etc)
  • Participate in the development of our company’s strategy and play an important role on the leadership team

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of multi-channel marketing experience with a track record of exceptional results
  • Experience building marketing plans and marketing teams for new products or companies
  • Experience developing and executing a digital-heavy marketing strategy with a high degree of comfort overseeing different digital channels (e.g., paid search/social) and website optimization efforts
  • Comfort with numbers and experience working in a metrics-based management culture
  • Fluency in basic branding concepts and frameworks, with the ability to confidently participate in the development/refinement of our brand, and a track record of executing consistently against well defined brand parameters
  • High degree of comfort working in a scrappy, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire 15+ person teams to deliver exceptional results
  • High degree of comfort working in a team with other executives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to comfortably handle difficult conversations
  • Experience with a multi-city, physical business (preferred, not must-have)
