Gusto's Design Systems team is responsible for building and maintaining a robust set of well-structured, reusable React components, layouts, and paradigms to help product teams be more productive and build more consistent, delightful experiences for our customers. As an early member of the team you'll have a unique opportunity to shape how Gusto builds user-facing features for years to come. Here’s what you’ll do:
As a founding member of the team, you’ll play a major role in defining the vision and strategy of the Design Systems team.
Build components, layouts, and paradigms that will shape Gusto’s product experience for years to come.
Empower product engineers across Gusto to build delightful and consistent experiences with minimal effort.
Mentor product engineers and designers across the company on best practices for frontend development.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
4+ years of software engineering experience
Experience turning wireframes and mockups into responsive, accessible, and delightful experiences for our customers
Well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism
