Extended Day Program Guide 

Are you passionate about working with children and creating enriching experiences? Do you thrive in an organized and supportive environment? Guidepost Montessori is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Extended Day Program Guide.

Overview: As an Extended Day Program Guide, you will lead the introduction and implementation of curriculum in our extended day programming while working directly with children as an Assistant Guide. You will oversee all program logistics, including scheduling activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the success of our afternoon sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment conducive to learning.
  • Provide close supervision to children, ensuring their safety and compliance with state-mandated ratios.
  • Interact with children in a warm, respectful manner to foster independence and joy.
  • Lead activities and provide guidance to children and staff during extended care hours.
  • Implement new curriculums and activities, prepare materials, and introduce lesson plans to children.
  • Communicate regularly with parents using approved tools provided by Guidepost Montessori.
  • Participate in staff meetings, one-on-one meetings with supervisors, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children of the appropriate age group.
    Passion for or willingness to learn the Montessori method of education.
    Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and responsibility.
    Ability to collaborate effectively with other adults and problem-solve challenges.
    Growth mindset and alignment with Guidepost Montessori's Core Values.
