The Opportunity - Account Manager - UK
We’ve just started building the European Sales Team. An Account Manager is responsible for increasing long term customer retention. You will identify customers with potential for upgraded or alternative services and conduct analysis of their current usage to determine what products will best suit their needs. Utilizing a consultative selling approach, you will recommend options that will enhance the customer’s experience as well as FreshBooks’ perceived value, while increasing revenue and decreasing churn.
The 25 person Sales team in Europe is spread out across the UK, Netherlands and Croatia. We’re proud to have 12 nationalities and a healthy gender balance. Our Sales colleagues in North America have a team of 100+ persons.
What you'll do as an Account Manager - UK:
- Build sales funnel to consistently meet or exceed assigned metrics including independent lead generation through customer database research
- Pursue inbound leads generated from support tickets and internal marketing efforts
- Conduct usage research and basic financial analysis on customer accounts to determine suitability of upgraded options / services
- Ensures all administrative tasks are accurate and up to date
- Effectively utilize Salesforce.com to accurately forecast pipeline and closed revenue
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal support teams to ensure smooth transition of customer accounts to new services
- Attendance at industry tradeshows and other events
What you'll bring to the role:
- 2-3 years of B2B sales experience, during which you exceeded your quotas
- Full sales cycle experience, including prospecting and cold calling
- Successful experience with uncovering prospects’ business challenges
- Experience working with SMB clients / high-velocity sales
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities
- Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce.com
You'll stand out if you bring experience in:
- Sales training: ex. SPIN, MEDDIC, Winning by Design, Predictable Revenue etc.
- Experience with SalesLoft or similar (Outreach)
- Analytical skills
- Speak & write more than 1 Western European language business fluently
