The Opportunity - Digital Operations Analyst

The Digital Channel team is looking to accelerate self-serve and digital adoption of our product, and it’s imperative we have the right skills and expertise within the team to continue momentum forward for FreshBooks. As part of this, we need to stand up and accelerate a Digital (aka self serve) Channel to drive adoption of our product for owners. The Digital Operations Analyst will be a key role in advancing our channel, and FreshBooks overall! In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing large sets of digital and customer data to identify trends and opportunities. This role will report to Manager, Channel Operations and will be responsible for dynamic dashboards, channel reporting and forecasting, and ad hoc analysis of channel performance & growth opportunities.

NOTE: It is a 12- month fixed term contractual role. This role can be worked remotely from the above location. 

What You'll Do as a Digital Operations Analyst

  • Own the top of funnel analysis and growth forecast, with specific focus on identifying trends and anomalies, for the Digital channel
  • Responsible for understanding our annual digital media spend, performance and optimization opportunities as it relates to channel KPIs
  • Responsible for deep understanding of budget targets, seasonality and differences by customer type, region, and channel
  • Partner with Digital leadership and partners to improve our understanding of user behavior and develop strategies to increase growth of self-serve adoption
  • Provide ad hoc or recurring updates to management team, as required
  • Influence broader budgeting and planning process, with specific focus on leading and lagging indicators for the Digital channel - inclusive of target attainment and leads management 
  • Brainstorm and share AB testing ideas, furthering our understanding of user behaviors and market trends as it relates to digital acquisition channels and engagement
  • Proactively identify trends and opportunities for growth while sharing your findings with a variety of stakeholders and management team, including Sales, Marketing, and Product

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • 2-4 years of similar experience, working with SaaS or ecommerce 
  • High degree of familiarity with data manipulation and analysis / insights 
  • Experience working with common data and behavioral tools, such as GA, Looker, Salesforce, Pendo, Fullstory
  • Strong communication and storytelling ability to different stakeholders, at various levels of the organization
  • Excellent at taking ownership and driving impact
  • Team player, strong communication skills, egoless, transparency and positive attitude

You'll Stand Out If You Bring Experience In

  • Experience building dashboards with Looker, supporting budgeting planning process, optimizing workflow as it relates to delivery of dashboards/reporting/standardization
