The Information Governance Office is a new department within Bynder created under the CIO organization. The key concept of the Information Governance Office is to collaborate across the organization to manage the entire information flow for Bynder, including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data.

 

As a Data Governance Specialist, you develop and implement data standards, guarantee that metadata is captured correctly, and create methods for monitoring and reporting data. You support applications and personnel to ensure they are following data governance procedures. You may also help create and maintain common data dictionaries and tools or methods that support data standards.

 

In this role, you also analyze and oversee strategies designed to enhance data reliability and minimize redundancies. You collaborate with other information technology colleagues to develop data quality standards and create key performance indicators and supply colleagues and organizational management with performance results. 

 

You will work alongside your colleagues within Information Technology, report into the Information Governance Manager and collaborate with data stakeholders across the company to encourage a data culture and promote data-driven decisions.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the data governance framework and dashboards.
  • Develop control structures within a simple environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.
  • Initiate cross-domain data projects and collaborate with the data team and business units to improve the data governance framework.
  • Provide thought leadership and participate in projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
  • Ensure data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
  • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT.
  • Work with business partners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop queries and improve reporting.
