Why we need you

Fospha are building a technical hub in Mumbai and are looking for an entrepreneurial engineering leader to help us build the function. This is a huge opportunity for a can-do, problem-solver who is comfortable working within the ambiguity and risk inherent in a growing start-up. You will be instrumental in creating the team and setting a high-performing engineering culture, with a clear growth path into managing multiple teams and leading the engineering operation at Fospha. You will have autonomy to define the shape of the operation and the parameters of your future leadership role.

The Role

You are an experienced Solutions Engineer with a passion for delighting customers. You will implement and configure our customer data solution and attribution modelling for a range of growing ecommerce businesses. You will use your technical skills and industry experience to deliver and tailor the Fospha product in the context of a fast paced, competitive digital marketing industry.

Our engineers and technologists are creative problem solvers who strive to reconcile business challenges using various technologies. You are highly technical but focussed on client delivery. You pride yourself on attention to detail but have a delivery mind-set. Resilient and adaptable, you find smart solutions to problems no matter what obstacles you encounter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end customer onboarding process from a technical perspective – working closely with the client facing Onboarding/Customer Success teams to ensure new client set up is timely and accurate. This involves:
    • JavaScript tagging (examples include implementation via Google Tag Manager)
    • Working predominantly in SQL, being able to understand and compose advanced SQL statements
    • Completing and testing system configuration (via Linux, Bash scripting, Groovy scripting) to ensure client expectations are met
    • Running data quality assurance processes, independently troubleshooting where issues arise
  • Scoping and completing new data ingestion into the Fospha platform, typically building API integrations as a proof of concept
  • You are a key enabler for our client teams to answer questions for our customers that address their biggest pain points, leveraging technology and data
  • Working closely with the Product team to accept and deploy new Fospha product releases

Professional Requirements

  • You speak SQL, writing complex SQL statements quickly with little / no reference material
  • Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
  • Experience in Linux and Bash
  • Groovy scripting, Java environment
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with APIs, such as RESTful HTTP and SOAP, in one or more mainstream languages will be required
  • Experience of working with common data formats such as CSV / XML / JSON using command line tools or scripts
  • We work with BI Reporting Tools and build dashboards using solutions such as IBM Cognos and Looker, so any familiarity will be useful
  • Any experience of digital marketing, ecommerce and web analytics products will be very advantageous
