Sales Manager (A&R Manager)

We are expanding our commercial team and looking for a new sales manager - what we call an A&R Manager. The sales team approaches artists, identified through Instrumental’s data platform or upstreamed from our track licensing division, every week to propose, develop and sign full service label partnerships that can help the artists take their careers and success in the music business to the next level.
The role encompasses end to end sales with the A&R manager responsible for maximising the deal value of each conversation with an artist, running a simple P&L on each deal, creating proposals, liaising with management (or directly with the artist as appropriate) to agree commercial terms and contract the agreed deals.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 3-5 years’ experience in a fast paced enterprise sales role, have a track record of beating targets and an ambition to build a career in sales in the music/media industry.
Familiarity with streaming platforms (especially Spotify) and social media is a help - but no music industry experience is necessary.
