AVADO’s vision is to be the global leader in online education with significant market share under both its own brands (e.g. Home Learning College, the UK’s leading online professional training provider - www.homelearningcollege.com) and through powering innovative online learning platforms in partnership with brands who are leading their fields (e.g. the Squared Online digital marketing leadership programme developed with Google - http://www.wearesquared.com)
AVADO, with over 30,000 active students, combines the proven experience of the category leader with the commercial understanding and connections of a progressive international investment group (Blenheim Chalcot) which has successfully built dozens of innovative, entrepreneurial and digital businesses over the last 16 years.
About the Role
AVADO is looking to hire a creative Graphic Designer who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment and working across a large portfolio of products. As our ideal candidate, you’ll also enjoy exploring the challenges that come with designing world-class learning experiences for our students.
You’ll have some previous experience working in a studio environment and working on numerous projects at any one time. We’re looking for someone whose design skills span across multiple creative mediums -- namely: graphic, video/animation, brand, typography and UI/UX, but with a heavy focus on graphics. You’ll be able to read and interpret briefs and bring a creative flair to develop engaging assets across our virtual campus. We work with a wide range of clients, so we’re looking for someone who can understand and implement different brand guidelines across projects. Other responsibilities will include designing internal and external presentations when needed and basic organisational admin work.
Just as important as all the fun creative stuff will be your ability to communicate, including your ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from your peers and clients. You’ll be able to clearly articulate your design decisions and confidently collaborate with writers, developers and project managers across the business.
- Post-secondary qualification in design or visual communication (preferred)
- Experience working in online education (preferred)
- Ability to work on numerous projects at a time
- Excellent communication skills
- Extensive experience with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Excellent creative skills
- Attention to detail
What’s in it for me?
All design work is created in-house, allowing AVADO creatives the chance to expand their skillset. We have talented people involved in video, animation, sound, marketing coding, UX/UI, etc. and often hold workshops for those interested in learning more about these skills. We value our employees’ happiness and offer flexible working arrangements once the successful candidate has passed their probation period.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Please include a portfolio/showreel or link to your work along with your CV and cover letter when applying.
