Job Description

At Aperia, we rely on a dynamic team of Business Analysts. We’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that’s always pushing boundaries. This person will have business analysis, product ownership, and product management skills. The ideal candidate has experience in Fintech or Baking business procedures and a strong understanding of data analysis at an advanced level. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Working closely with product and design colleagues to synthesize outcomes from UX research, design sprints, user testing, and development prototypes, to create user stories, design documents, and actionable development tasks. 
  • Take ownership of the backlog and collaborate with clients/stakeholders to elaborate business requirements. 
  • Engage in business collaboration across different time zones. 
  • Provide optimal estimations and approaches for product increments. 
  • Advocate for the customer by understanding their needs, behaviors, and feedback. Ensure that the product development process is centered around delivering value to the customer.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for self-managing the team to deliver product increments in 2-week sprints. 
  • Liaising with software and quality engineers to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development. 
  • Work closely with development teams, including Scrum Masters, developers, and testers, providing clear and concise guidance on priorities and requirements. 
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand unmet needs, validate pain points, and incorporate insights into the product development lifecycle that validate the product hypotheses. 
  • Collaborating with customer service to develop documentation of new capabilities, and with go-to-market teams to create content for sales enablement and marketing communications. 
  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap with the wider Aperia business, providing updates on progress, and demonstrating new capabilities that align with business goals, market trends, and customer requirements. 
  • Participate in release planning, sprint planning, and review sessions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations. 
  • Communicate relentlessly with the team, manager, leadership, and sponsors to ensure transparency. 
  • Effectively work on multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities. 
  • Visualize and articulate product vision and roadmap. 

Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in business analyst and/or product owner roles. 
  • Proven experience with Jira and advanced Microsoft Office tools. 
  • Strong knowledge of Data Mapping (SQL/API), UML, and wireframing. 
  • Advanced English proficiency in all skills, particularly in technical writing. 
  • Proficiency in performing User Acceptance Testing. 
  • Strong communication skills with scrum teams and stakeholders. 
  • Proficient in the Scrum/Kanban framework. 
  • Experience in building products on Cloud platforms, Cloud migration, specifically Azure Cloud.

Education: Relevant training or certifications in product management, business analysis, or a related field.
