Job Description

As a transformation Solutions Architect you have mastered technology ecosystems, their design, implementation, and operation, all to support business objectives. You understand that the most elegant design is useless if it does not lead to return on investment and cannot be implemented in stages to meet the fast-paced world we live in. You will be responsible for consulting engagements with groups both inside and outside of Aperia. You will work independently to assess how you can maximize your value, and to agree success criteria and measures for the engagement. Examples of the type of work you will get involved in include bringing together business and technology teams to define the strategic architecture for customers; collaborating across multiple technology teams to solve problems in an imaginative way; or guiding project teams to co-create architecture principles, solutions, or roadmaps. 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Have experience across a wide variety of architecture engagements in multiple areas of business/technology.
  • Identify, qualify, and propose strategy, initiatives and solutions aligned with business outcomes.
  • Develop and communicate the customer outcomes for technical solutions.
  • Collaborate across different technology teams to ensure true end-to-end solutions.
  • Lead planning and prioritization activities, coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of existing and target architectures.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to identify and recommend workable solutions to clients.
  • Work with the project management to develop the overall implementation solution plan and serve as a lead, as required, overseeing aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, and implementation phases for projects within solution area.
  • Work with data integration technologies to design and implement new solutions and processes for clients to support new customer experience strategies.
  • Work with business and technology client representatives to gather functional and technical requirements.
  • Create API and ETL designs.
  • Participate in client facing meetings and documenting key decisions and action items.
  • Serve as the architecture lead for application and integration team.
  • Keep informed of the latest technology trends, platforms, and innovations especially in the areas of finance, compliance, customer data management, and data integration.
  • Collaborate with product management and business owners, solutions architects work closely with product management and business owners to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable and flexible system designs.
  • Define the architecture and design of the solutions developed within the SAFe framework to create and maintain architectural runway, identify key architectural components, and ensure that the architecture aligns with the SAFe principles and practices.
  • Guide agile teams by providing technical leadership and architectural direction by assisting teams in making technology decisions, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring that the architecture is implemented correctly within the Agile Release Train (ART) or Solution Train context.
  • Participate in solution and system demos to highlight the architectural aspects of the solution to demonstrate how the architecture supports the desired functionality, performance, security, and other non-functional requirements defined in SAFe.
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of the solution architecture within the SAFe by collaborating with other architects, including Enterprise Architects, to ensure architectural consistency, adherence to standards, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate relentlessly with team, manager, leadership, and sponsors to ensure transparency.
  • Effectively work on multiple concurrent projects and with multiple competing priorities.

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent technology degree/experience
  • 4+ years of proven architecture experience
  • Agile software development environment experience
  • Knowledge of architecting enterprise-level applications for Windows, SQL, NoSQL databases
  • Strong asynchronous programming capabilities: MySQL, REST, JSON, SOA, XML, Redis
  • Sound knowledge of tools such as Git, Jenkins, Vagrant and Ansible
  • Experience with .NET, CI/CD, Python, Jupyter Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience in the Financial or Electronic Payment Processing industry is a plus
  • 5+ years of proven architecture experience
  • Experience with Azure or AWS
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles
  • Experience working in agile environments.
  • Strong customer facing and presentation skills as well as proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience and understanding of architecture, consultancy, and delivery methodologies.
  • Experience and understanding of technology practices, particularly across data and integration areas.
  • A collaborative and initiative-taking approach, with an ability to story-tell and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • A willingness to challenge the status quo and influence it on a senior level.
  • A strong knowledge of the current/future state of industry technology solutions and trends.

Education or Certifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
