We’re looking for an engineer to work within our SDK engineering team, which is an integral piece of our analytics ecosystem. You will have full ownership of our open source data collection libraries and plugins. These products are used by thousands of customers to send tens of billions of events to Amplitude each month. If you’re passionate about building software that wows other developers and changes the way they think about analytics

As a Software Development Engineer, SDK you will:

  • Own and invest in our suite of open source data collection SDKs, enabling our customers to integrate with Amplitude seamlessly.
  • Work closely with our developer community, success team, and solutions team to deliver new SDK features and support existing ones.
  • Develop with a variety of technologies including: JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.
  • Develop plugins for popular platforms (Shopify, Figma, etc) to expand our footprint.
  • Manage end-to-end build/test/deploy processes for the SDKs.
  • Speak with customers and learn from customer feedback to iterate on our product.
  • Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on engineering best practices.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have several years of experience working in a frontend engineering role.
  • Like to work closely with customers to build features and solve problems.
  • Enjoy working in small, fast moving teams.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with JavaScript application frameworks (React/Redux, Angular, Backbone, etc.).
  • Have a good understanding of current and emerging trends in web application development.
  • Have experience developing web apps and working with the respective platform build tools.
